Since our inception in 2012, Crowsmill has served as a sanctuary where creativity and care converge.

Empowering Lives Through Craft

Our founders, Mark Chiswell and Dickon Pitt, transformed two disused agricultural buildings into a lively workshop space, surrounded by lush gardens and tranquil woodlands. Here, we offer a diverse range of craft workshops including woodworking, plastering, sewing, and more, aimed at nurturing practical skills alongside personal growth.

Crafting More Than Just Objects

At Crowsmill, every creation tells a story of empowerment and progress. Whether it's Sanna carving exquisite wooden furniture, or Josh assembling his unique bird boxes, our centre is a place where achievements are celebrated and self-esteem flourishes. Our workshops are tailored to meet the needs of adults with mental health issues, physical and learning difficulties, as well as disaffected youths, ensuring everyone is guided towards personal success.

A Community of Support and Skill-Building

Our trained staff are deeply committed to each individual’s journey. With expertise in a range of crafts and a compassionate understanding of each learner’s challenges, they provide the guidance needed to foster both skill development and personal well-being. Activities extend beyond the workshops to include archery, gardening, and animal welfare, enhancing social skills and community involvement.

An Idyllic Setting for Growth

Crowsmill is not just a craft centre, but a peaceful retreat from the pressures of daily life. The vast expanse of our outdoor areas, including a vegetable garden and chicken run, serves as both a practical learning environment and a source of tranquility. Our woodland activities promote environmental stewardship and the physical space to breathe, reflect, and grow.
